A poster for the Federal Theatre Project presentation of "Gaieties of 1936" at the Greek Open Air Theatre, Vermont Avenue at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. View full size
I love seeing shows at the Greek Theatre. It's like the Hollywood Bowl, but much smaller & more intimate. My fave was Stevie Ray Vaughn in the '80s.
It's also right up the hill from Los Feliz, which still affects a pretty righteous prewar vibe.
Perhaps it meant each chorine is so close to being a girl already you can't tell the difference, mostly.
I'm not sure I really want to know what the rest of them were!
