That's the biggest merry-go-round I've ever seen! Kind of like today's "Roundup."
I found a treasure trove of New York newspapers from the mid 1800s on (including the Syracuse Evening Telegram). Unfortunately it is not well indexed. That notwithstanding, it is fascinating reading.
