I think the fountain was moved to Adams and Leigh by the Bill Bojangles statue.
The building at left is still there, too. But the top two floors have been shaved off. It went from six to four as shown in the recent pic below.

Beautiful Richardson Romanesque style building built 1888-1893. The horse fountain is gone though, probably replaced by a nearby gas station.
