"Miss Elizabeth Ramey. Alexandria, Va. Ford owner." Photo taken for the Ford Motor Co. or one of its dealers. National Photo Company, 1924. Colorized using Photoshop, 2011. View original.
With the circular nature of fashion, this photo looks as though it might have been taken today - as I know people who dress like this and have similar styling. Fantastic work on colourising this - it's beautiful.
It is very hard to get skin tone to look real. You've don it exquisitely!! And the red inkwell brings it all to life.
This is the first colorization I've done. I had a blast with it. Please feel free to offer advice or critique.
I had a difficult time with the color of the inkwell on the desk, in particular. The brass parts were easier to pull off, but I was left wondering what the color of the band around the edge was and guessed on a red-orange based on old photos I've found of other inkwells. It's possible that it's also a shade of teal or seafoam green. Experimenting with different colors left me scratching my head.
