Happy holidays to everyone! Have seen two other pics of this frozen fountain on Shorpy, I think. Wonder if anyone ever made it to the top when it was this tall.

Atop one of the buildings is a sign for the Johnston Optical Company. I did a bit of research and found that the Johnston Optical Company was, indeed, based in Detroit and holds a patent for a device called an optometer, that allows doctors to detrermine the strength of glasses required by patients.
