With the return of older 1900's names to popularity for new babies - Isabella, Emma, Olivia, Sophia, Ava, Clara - I just don't think that Blanche is one that will make it.
I would say that he read the newspaper earlier. Those days of petroleum based ink were murder.
The chorine on the right simply has her leg out, but the one on the left has her gam extended with style.
I once read that women's fashions change with the direction of the wind, and that menswear changes at a glacial pace. All the proof needed for men's clothing is evident in this photo - 85 years later and with the exception of maybe the lapel width and a cuff here or there, the tuxedo hanging in my closet is exactly the same as this one! Satin stripe on the legs, satin lapels, similar tie and shirt studs. I'd guess that the shirt is almost identical, and the shoes wouldn't look out of place today either.
