New York. June 3, 1920. "Columbia U. Class of 1910." A Shorpy tip of the mortarboard to our recent college grads! Bain News Service. View full size.
The event depicted was the alumni costume parade, held on South Field at 2:30 p.m. on June 2nd, where members of the various reunion classes dressed up. The New York Times article from June 3, 1920 below describes part of the event.
The New York Times also printed on May 16, 1920 that, "... the class of 1908 will celebrate its decennial, postponed in 1918 because practically its entire membership was in Government service. The classes of 1908 and 1910 will therefore celebrate a joint decennial."

Sgt Schultz is inspecting the Troops as they pass by.

Spats, with bib overalls, straw farmer hats, and neckerchiefs?
Is the kid out front a mascot or one of those guys that graduate college at 10 years old?
I'm also a little puzzled by the photo date of 6/3/1920 for a Class of 1910.
[It's 10 years after they graduated. - Dave]
