The two electrical switches at the bottom of the window: any idea what they may be for? The left one is pushed ON and the right one pushed OFF. Apparently these switches needed to be outside, not inside the building, but I can't think of a reason that would be necessary.

Gustaf Tenggren, a Swedish-American artist and later Disney animator, illustrated the Art Deco stockinged fairy on the Blue Moon box cover, apparently considered too racy to be fully displayed for National Photo Company's camera.
I'm intrigued by the "atmosphere" color, myself. I wonder if it changes on smoggy days.
