It appears that almost every tent has a stovepipe of some sort protuding from the top or the side. I am sure that food, aside from sleep after a long day in the field, was most important to these folks.
Not sure, but it looks like the man in front of the big building on the right has set up an impromptu barber shop, and is giving someone a haircut.
