Tanzy, who zookeepers had to put on Xanax two years ago, died this week at 49 and everyone is so sad.
Also, since our city's elephant enclosure was okay in the '70s, but is below professional standards now, Abilene's last elephant will soon be permanently moved.
Going to the zoo just won't be the same now.
There is a chance that the elephant may still be alive.. unlikely but possible.
