Buffalo, New York, circa 1911. "Lafayette Square." Where amusements include Motion Pictures, Vaudeville, a Pony Circus and, for the more practical-minded, Gas & Electric Fixtures. 8x10 inch glass negative. View full size.
Does anyone know what the center building was called and used for? I'm fascinated by it. I'm so glad the others are still standing. Thanks.

All of the buildings on the left are gone, as is the large brick building in the center. But the Lafayette Hotel is still there, as is the Kleinhans building. Both are largely unchanged, externally.
