Some interesting and sympathetic sentiments on those signs (e.g. 7-hour day, fight or starve), an unfortunate error in the main word on the sign with the florid script ("Commuist"), but what, might I ask, is that call to lynching all about?

If it comes to choosing between WORK or WAGES, I'd much rather have the wages, thank you. On the other hand, joking aside, these people, irrespective of their race, express so much hope for a better future that they are truly touching.
Nice to see that these grim-faced would-be commissars have not neglected to decorate their meeting hall with some festive streamers.
