I mean, he looks just the way I remember him;
with his shorts hiked up just under his armpits.
Between the uniformed adults in the back, the formal line up, and these horizontal stripe shorts, these boys look like junior prisoners.
I don't think I shall look at early 20th century photos of people frolicking on the beach in their one piece horizontal striped woolies the same way I used to, now that I have seen this shot.
