I (was) waiting for Shorpyites to identify the two-foot round thing in the lower-right of this picture. It looks like it has rivets on it. Is that another one, farther afield, without rivets?
Edit: Further research indicates that the objects are *re-purposed* water heater expansion tanks, usually filled with concrete, and used to protect private property from stray vehicles. Yes, bollards!

All was not beautiful in days of yore. Unpainted buildings, dirt, and litter was not a stranger back in the day, but clean laundry was still important!
