Here is a view from another angle, showing the windmill as a stand-alone structure.
A closer look reveals windmill supports on either side of the chimney. Now, the real question. Intentional or not?
I mean, that is some kind of weird sola topi. And anyone with a mustache like that must be a pukka sahib …
And whatever is the windmill doing on top of the chimney stack? It’s a Gem, made by US Wind Engine & Pump Company of Batavia IL, and was advertised as being geared for running machinery, so … early wind-generated electricity? Or is it just an optical illusion, and a regular water-pumping windmill is mounted on a tower hidden by the chimney?

Hats off to the bloke in the middle for being brave enough to wear whatever that thing is on his head.
Nay, I must disagree, he's the 4th guy from the left.
It looks like one of those guys is wearing half of a hollowed-out watermelon on his head.
Want that house, a set of those clubs and definitely that hat the 4th guy from the right is wearing!
Those are natty caps, but the guy, 4th from the right?
