Seals Stadium, San Francisco, August 1953. My sister (third gal from left) and her friends at the ballpark to watch the San Francisco Seals play. Five years later the Giants came to town, and in 1959 Seals Stadium was demolished. From a 2-1/4 square Kodacolor negative. View full size.
tterace's sister,
Do you have any other memories of Seals Stadium you'd share with me? I was born in 1958 and missed all the fun.

How precious! I've seen many shots of Seals Stadium, but this is the first shot I have ever seen of patrons at a ballgame there. By chance, did they stop in at Stempel's Bakery next door (where my dad worked) for donuts or cupcakes? or socialize before or after the game at the Double Play?
We always sat in left field right next to the dugout. Got to talk to the players and get photos. Miss those days. Still haven't been to a Giants game. I wanted the Dodgers to come to SF.

How do you scan color negatives that size? I've attempted with a digital camera and backlight, with poor results, and I've only seen film scanners for 35mm.
[tt uses an Epson V700 flatbed scanner. There are also film scanners (Nikon 9000) that will accommodate sizes larger than 35mm. You could also use a studio back. - Dave]
