Most of these photos can be described as "documentarian." This is the first one I've seen that has a really interesting composition - that I'd be willing to hang on my wall!
These were gone by the time I was born in 1961. My grandfather was a blacksmith for Spangs steel mill in Etna. I believe these may have been along the banks of the Allegheny River. Etna is about 8 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
