Judging by the bins full of recognizable phone parts, this may be the store room for the phone assembly hall shown in the other C&P picture. The clerk here also looks like one of the workers in that photo as well. One of the great details of this photo is the Western Electric box under the table. Western Electric made telephones and other sound equipment. One historic theater that I have seen in Clifton, Texas still has a metal plate over the box office proudly advertising its Western Electric sound system (some of which is still in place backstage!).
