I thought of that movie too when I saw this picture. I wonder if these boys did something great in their lives. I'll never know.
Youth, vitality and confidence--their entire lives still in front of them. It doesn't change generation after generation. Wonderful photo. And to think, some of these young men believed those "shoulder pads" actually were helping them play the game. These guys belong in a Ralph Lauren Polo ad, they really do.
Next to the football on the right. He's aged well.
You can't put that style on modern football players - they don't have the necks for them.
