He was my second cousin once removed. Born Feb. 21, 1922. It looks like he joined the Navy during WW2. He probably has living children. I wonder what they have to say about this picture.

I'm not sure why, but when I was a 17 year old farm boy, I too carried heavy buckets the way this young man did. The bucket would rest against the back of my left leg and my right arm would be extended as a counterbalance. Unfortunately, I was not as photogenic as this fellow.

That WW2 is right around the corner, and insert tediously predictable comment here.
It took about 30 years for that wide belt with the buckle worn to the side to come back in style, but it most certainly did.
